I love how everything gets broken down to the simplicity of our surroundings in the moment. We make plans, and the Goddess laughs at us.

This is a very graphic description of your travails, but we know you and Mark have a great history of making things work even on a tight budget. I just hope that the situation back home in California is being dealt with as well.

Enjoyed your Cuban adventure very much. I remember the live music with every meal, how wanting the meals were, discovering that milk was rationed for young children. But despite the restrictions and poverty, the people always seemed happy.

I don’t know you. But because you write like the wind, I feel like I’m dancing with you and swimming with you and marveling at your husband‘s great luck finding you. Your piece has inspired these musings of an 81-year-old writer who is heading to the gym and then for a 3 mile walk here in the forest of Central Virginia.
